Default Meds done and daughters passport expires in Jun 2007.

Hi
We had our medicals done yesterday and then realised that my daughters passport expires in June 2007. Do you need to have six months remaining on your passport for them to accept it? Should we get it renewed now?
We live in Ontario so how do we get it renewed? Can we send it to somewhere in Canada to renew and if so, does anyone know how long this usually takes?

Thanks for your replies

Sharon

Passport requests will require at least 12 months remaining in all passports sent in, so yes you need a new one.

The good news, if you are in Canada already is that it only takes about three weeks. Check out this website here:

In fact if the passports have less validity then as far as I understand the date to "land" will be limited to passport expiry date, rather than the usual 12 months.

That might not be a problem if they are already in Canada and just plan to take a quick trip to the U.S. as soon as they have visas.

Thanks guys
I have just printed off the application form. Now to find someone who will sign the photos for us.
That's put my mind at rest anyway.
