Default medicals for a todler being sponsored by PR parents

Hello
Are medical tests required for a todler that is sponsored by PR parents?
Does any one have an idea how much it costs?

Yes. Everyone who applies for Permanent Residency is required to undergo a medical.

Costs will depend on where you get them done. Consult the Panel Physician list to find your nearest ones and call to ask if their fee includes the cost of blood tests and xrays as well as the examination. Around the £300 region has been mentioned of late, for the UK - you may find it cheaper to have it done in Canada.. you will need to be in Canada in order to sponsor them anyway unless one of you is a Canadian Citizen. But a reminder that if your status (as in retention of PR status) is borderline the best idea is to keep your head down and not bring attention to yourself until such time as you meet the requirements to retain PR status.

1. If the child is under 5 no urine test, nor blood test, if under 11 no x-ray

+1

We had our medicals done last month in Manchester.

Our little one (7 years) basically went through a quick physical exam. The child will have to strip to their underwear whilst the doctor just gives a basic but thorough check. The cost was £85.00 for the child. she had a urine test due to her age.

Thanks for the reminder PMM, appreciated! My post was giving a generic cost rather than toddler specific, so good point!
The OP can read more about the requirements here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration...013.html#chap4
