What exactly does this mean?

I believe this to be a shorthand for stating that CIC have asked an applicant to go and have a medical.
If you are asked to go for a medical, then your case has been assessed and you have sufficient points for a visa.
On the other hand maybe someone means that CIC have received the medical results!!!!!
I am sure someone else will clarify better than I. (or is that me?)

Where did you see that remark - "Medicals Received"? If it was in Ecas then you have completed them and the results are at the visa office. It is not clear that they were positive but in the great majority of cases they are.
