Default Medicals .. a quastion to the experts

I had applied for immigration to canad thru a law firm. they had
emailed me letting me know that an interview was waivered and that I
should do medicals now. I wanted proof.. so I asked them to mail me
the notice letter issued from buffalo. they declined saying that they
would issue the letter only after I made my payments. What is
interesting is that they were very rude in their approach. My question
is .. is it possible to get a letter from buffalo. I have currently
listed my address to the law office.
Is there any possiblity that my lawyer is trying to scam me...

It depends from your agreement with your lawyer.

If agreement provides for payments in installments due at certain time or upon
certain event (receipt of particular notice/document/form from visa post) and
you don't want to pay then it is you who want to scam your lawyer.

But if you already paid the entire fee to your lawyer and agreement doesn't
require you to pay anything beyond that then it is quite possible that it is
the lawyer who is trying to scam you.

Please refer to your contract and follow it.
