Well, I have received my PPR.

Medicals = 15th May
sent via Ottawa
PPR dated = 9th June, received 20th June (ah, Royal Mail/Canada Post!)

You have no cause for complaint since the medicals were done May 15th and you already have your PPR.

I'm sorry Jim... where did I complain?!

I started the thread before I received my PPR because I was concerned about what I had read of a potential delay. Obviously, I am thrilled to receive PPR appx. a month after medicals.

I was just reporting back on my time line for anyone who might find this thread in future. I certainly haven't complained about the outcome.

Great to hear ojmurphy that you now have PR, hopefully ours will be winging its way to us soon, we are still waiting after having meds done in March.

Thanks tilly. I hope you (and anyone else waiting for PPR after medicals) didn't think I was complaining.

Did your medicals also get sent through Ottawa? Perhaps you should send CIC London a quick e-mail; 3 months is a long wait. If you don't mind me asking, were there any complications?

Medicals are one thing and background checks are another. They are usually done in parallel but of course do not always finish at the same time. Some people will get the PPR in a month or so and others will still be waiting months later. Medicals taken in Canada are sent to the Ottawa office and assessed there too. The results are then emailed to the visa office so even the post office has little to do with them.

Thanks for that insight Jim. I didn't realise that the Background Checks were taking place at the same time the Meds Request was out.
