for medicals done in Canada, where do the results go?
Hi there,
Just wanted to ask people who applied to CHC London but did their medicals in Canada. Did you guys sent the medical results to London, as specified in the instructions, or to Ottawa, the closest regional health management branch?
I just have had a looong phone conversation with the receptionist at the DMP office in Edmonton. She was sure that regardless of the instructions, the results MUST first be sent to Ottawa and will be transferred to London later on. Is that true? Is it still possible to send them to London directly?
Any advice appreciated!

We didn't send them anywhere, the dr/hospital did. Now, my understanding is that they go to Ottawa first and then on to London. Didn't really seem to hold anything up though. I think it might have something to do with the fact that (at least for our outland spousal app), London didn't even KNOW about the application til a month or so after we applied since it had to go to Mississauga first for approval. Presumably the med results were already in and sitting in Ottawa when that month was up. Wouldn't make much sense to send the med results to London for a file that London doesn't even know exists!
As for other types of applications...no clue.

Hi
They really should go to the RMC in London, but most DMPs will courier them to their usual DMC. The DMP would probably send them to London if you were willing to pay the courier costs.

I first wanted to insist o sending the results to London, as purple80 did,
but Ottawa seems a cheaper option...
Cookie, how long did it take for your results to eventually reach London health branch?
Also, If results go to Ottawa first, who makes the decision on medical admissibility: Ottawa or London?

Ours went to Ottawa first and then to London - wondering if that was the right choice as two months on, we're still waiting for PPR

Ours went to Ottawa and the result was passed to Buffalo / Seattle but we applied for PR whilst on WP in Canada, depends where your application is being processed.

According to Trackitt London is far quicker than many other CIC offices bar South Africa which is lightening fast.
