Hello Mr. Miller...
Just recently my sponsorship application has been approved in Mississauga and is now on its merry way to London for the final stage of processing.
My concern is about the medical my partner took last December. Having looked at some forums and reading this...
"Medical Examinations are valid for one year from the date of the examination. You must undergo a new medical examination if your visa has not been issued within one year from your medical examination date."
We're worried that his medical may "time-out" as it can take from 3-9 months for PR.
He got his medical done to send with our application but we didnt send that off right away as we probably should have. He had further testing done in January and they sent his results to Canadian High Commision on 19th March.
So...does it appear that new medicals may need to be done, as well as another police certificate (that was done same time)?
Any advice would be kindly appreciated.
Thank you
Chelsea

CHC London may sometimes be quicker than you think and if it happens they may ask if applicant is ready to land before expiration of medicals. If not then they will ask for new medicals.

Sorry, one last question -
Is it okay for my partner to come out to Canada and when prompted by CHC London for passport, to send it over to have PR issued? Or is it best he wait in the UK until everything is finalized?
Thank you,
Chelsea
