cant help you with London, we had ours in Bristol and it was quite straight forward stuff - bloods, urine, blood pressure, eye test, general flexibility and then a chest xray.

Hi luvmeboys,
should have said that they are for the High Commision in London,we will be booking someone around the Glasgow area shortly.
What I was worried about was how much interrogation and form filling you have to go through and how invasive are the medicals themselves.

they just ask you about your general health, illnesses etc. you will fill in a medical question sheet y + n answers, and the medical was a strait forward check up - not invasive!! :sneaky:

If you have a wife get her to take recent smear results and then she won't have to have one done at medicals! (recent is one year) We had meds in oxford!
Bloods, urine, eyes, blood pressure, chest xray

Good Luck

Is that realy good enough? Just a thought.

Immigration Medicals are valid for one year. Isn't there a danger that if, for example, a result was 8 months old and then CIC take 5 months before processing that they will say that test is more than 12 months old?

I can't imagine the doctor will say a test was done for the immigration medical when it wasn't, so they might refer to when it was done and CIC are known to be really fussy.

Re: Medicals

we had ours done in bristol too, really simple really, weight, blood pressure, height, lie on bed and lift leg up, test reflexes on knees and elbows, eye chart test, answer questions like do you smoke, drink any operations etc...then over the road to hospital for chest xrays. the annoying part for us was the wait and the drive up there as we had to take 2 cars as we are a family of 6..
