Inland PR Landing
Hello,
We live in Calgary and would like to land at an IRCC office rather than drive across the border.
We we have tried to get through to an agent via the 1-888 number provided in our letter - but no luck! My husband tried this morning and couldn’t get a place in the telephone queue.
Any tips/ideas from anyone who has knowledge of the system or has done this?
Many thanks in advance,
Laois

There's also a web form you can use: How do I validate a Confirmation of Permanent Residence or a permanent resident visa if I live in Canada?
If you can track down the fax number, that may be a way of getting an appointment (that is what I did at my local one and got an appointment within 24 hours).
If all else fails then next time you try to call the misinformation line, write down the buttons to hit 1 - 0 - 0 - 1 -0 etc., so you are not waiting to go through the menu. You could also try just hitting 0 every time it beeps at you, that works sometimes (but no guarantees). Otherwise, just keep hitting redial.. call 1st thing in the morning, don't bother around 'lunchtime' or on a Friday.
Hope you get through soon!
If you already live in Canada, you have two options to become a permanent resident:
There's an email address on this page you could try perhaps https://lostintheleafcity.com/office-cic-calgary/- You can make an appointment at one of our offices near where you live in Canada. To do this, contact us by using this Web form.
If your permanent resident visa (or one of your family’s) expires in two months or less, please indicate that you need urgent processing.

Thank you Siouxie! We have sent an email to that address - it didn't get sent back, so that is maybe a good sign?!!
The misinformation line is painful....too busy when it opens to take your call or put you in a queue
We will keep trying! Thanks very much once again!

Hi,
For those who may be interested in an inland landing, we have been sent an appointment for 09 October to ‘land’ here in Calgary.
It it took a phone call to IRCC and waiting for 90 mins on hold to then speak to an agent and request an appointment.
Thanks for for your help Siouxsie!!

Re: Inland PR Landing
Hi,
Well, we did it!!
Our appointment for an inland landing took approximately 30 minutes at IRCC Calgary. Easy! We really didn't want to flagpole (drive to the border at Montana).
Our immigration officer was super efficient but very friendly.
We then headed to get our new SIN and SIN x 2 for the boys.
Two of our PR cards arrived in the mail on 23 October....just waiting for the other two now!
I just wanted to say to say a big thank you for all the information, guidance and clarification that this site gives out. It is a real gem and has been so useful over the past 5 yrs on our journey to getting PR.
Next step....citizenship!!
