Default Medical issue before PR

I am currently working on a TWP, I have my SINP nomination and my PR application is currently in process.
Recently I injured my knee playing sports, and may need an operation. My question is, would having an operation here in Canada affect my PR application? I haven't had my PR medical yet, and I am otherwise fit and healthy. Was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or know if this would affect my PR application?

I injured my knee and had surgery about 5 years before applying for PR. It was done outside of Canada, but I declared it on my medical and I have big scars on my knee, which I'm assuming the medical examiner noted on the forms. It did not seem to be an issue at all. From what I gather CIC worries about illness that would likely result in ongoing expenses, not a one-time thing like this. We got our PR without any problems and I didn't need to submit any additional information.

I just worry that because I will have to have the operation in Canada, it would cause problems.

Hi!
We have just got our PR (been on work visa for last 3 years) and my husband had emergency retina surgery here last year and it wasn't a problem. They are more concerned with ongoing problems which will cost OHIP money or communicable diseases.
