Default Medical examination for immigration to Canada‏

Hi everyone,

I've began looking into getting my medical examination booked (little early but I wanted to make a start).

I contacted the nearest place to me (Handsworth Wood Medical Centre, Birmingham) and they advised me that it'll cost £312. My first reaction was that it seems expensive so wanted to double check what people here thought. If I can have it done cheaper at another approved clinic then but travel then I'd happily do that.

Adam.

it doesn't sound that excessive to me. I don't recall what we paid but yours sounds in the right ballpark figure.probably once you've factored in travel costs they are all pretty much the same
london is about $300 according to this link

Sounds about right to me too. On the plus side, it's a drop in the ocean when it comes to immigration costs, so when the time comes you'll barely notice it.

I had mine done at a Nuffield Hospital and it was about £350 so yours doesn't sound too expensive at all. Crazy though for what is for most people a very fast medical.

Thanks for the speedy responses everyone. It's just dawning on me just how expensive this process is, but I know it's all worth it

Yes, as with other replies, seems about right. Hubby has tattoo's so had to have an extra blood test which cost £40 on top .

In the grand scheme of things worth it

We got ours in Canada and the old geezer took it upon himself to give me a breast exam, not sure he should have but after everything we went through I kind of didn't care by then...... good luck !!!
