I just wanted to add my experience and breakdown of costs for medicals.
We went to one of the designated DMPs in Surrey BC.
First we saw the Dr.
Height and weight taken. Blood Pressure taken, Vision test done. He checked in our throats, felt our necks, listened to our hearts and palpated our abdomens. The two children had all the above except the Blood Pressure test...
Cost 120 per person x 4 = $480 (Cash only - ker-ching!)
We then had to drive 5 minutes to get our lab tests and Chest X-Rays done.
Chest X-Rays - $50 per person (luckily both kids are under 11 so don't require the X-Ray)
X-Ray Cost $50 x 2 = $100
The Lab then tested bloods for HIV/Syphillis for me and OH, and urine sample given for all 4 of us.
Bloods/Urine $75 each per adult
Childs Urine $15 per child.
Lab costs = $180.
So in total we paid $760 for a family of 4 (2 kids under 11)
Quite a painless experience and we managed to get it all done within 2 hours.
Now the wait for PPR begins once again.........
