Default Marriage Certificate Translation

Morning all. I apologise in advance if this has been covered before, I have done a search and looked in the Wiki.

We got married in the Dominican Republic and our marriage certificate is in Spanish. So in preparation for getting our paperwork ready I am assuming that our certificates will need to be translated (prob find out that I have signed to be a slave for the rest of my life!); I have done a search on the net and there are quite a few company's that will do it for a fee. My question is - does this translated document have to be notorized by a lawyer?

Thanks for your info.

No, just by a certified translator.

Thank you ever so much for that. Will try and sort a certified translator out.
