Well their ears must have been burning because literally as I am sitting here composing a case specific email to them I though to myself I'd better just double-check that exact date (even though I'd already looked online last night) and the folks in Australia have woken up this morning and updated our status to Decision Made!!
No word on what the decision is of course but we have had no requests for clarification or further information on anything so I'm assuming the chances are good right?

Congratulation on the decision made for your file, your pr just at the corner . But I think you will be required to leave Canada before PRV granted.

He can either 'flagpole' (see the wiki) or else make an appointment at an inland CIC office (not the airport) if he doesn't want to fly out and back in.

Thanks Siouxie, if decision is good and PR is granted we are only 2hrs drive or so from the US border here so we would probably just go do some shopping and activate it on the way back in.
(btw I'm a she -the Scot in my user name refers to the nationality rather than my name. If we are staying then maybe I should change it anyway since we are no longer 'downunder'.)

Hello guys! it's been a while since I last visited this forum , been quite busy with work.

I am getting frustrated as it's already been more than 5 months since my application was received in CIO and yet I still haven't got the medical request

I know I shouldn't compare my timeline to others but I just can't help it! seeing others' timelines, it seems to me that they have received the medical about 4-4.5 months after their application was received by CIO or somewhere like 2 months after they received their AOR, so as wrong as this may sound, I am growing desperate by the day! 2015 will be over soon and it seems like there will be no good news for me

Can you guys please, please, let me know how many months have you waited before you received the medical request (since your application reached CIO)? My application was received by CIO on July 2 and I received the AOR in Septemeber... after that, nothing...

Don't forget that (a) others may be from different countries with much faster processing times than yours, and (b) at 5 months you're still WELL under published 'average' timescales!

Thank you christmasoompa, it's just that i saw a few who were from the same country as I am and they got theirs much sooner so you know, can't help but feel a little frustrated but you're right, 5 months isn't delayed at all, I just have to be more patient! I guess it may also be because of the upcoming holidays, maybe a lot of the guys working in their visa office here have gone on an annual leave or something...

How long time they will accept the application?

Only send mail with resume and IELTS score sheet is it enough?

You can send them an email asking for the status but generally you have nothing to except to wait
