Manila embassy Visa section asked to my fiancée to send her passport over to them. We know that we are at the end of the process because ALL requirements are met to the core. There's not much explanation: anyone knows what is the meaning of this? Usually when they ask the "original copy" of the spouse's passport, what is this for?
Is this good news? Do they only want to stamp the visa and that's it? Please experts answer!
TIMELINE:
July 17, 2001 - Sponsorship Application for my fiancée
Sept 07, 2001 - Positive decision from CIC
Oct. 25, 2001 - Right of Landing Fee paid off
Nov. 09, 2001 - Québec Selection Certificate approval
Dec. 12, 2001 - Permanent residence application sent in Manila Canadian embassy
Jan. 08, 2002 - No interview asked, medical forms received
Jan. 25, 2002 - Doctor (DMP) sent completed forms to the embassy
June 13, 2002 - Imm. Officer ask for missing sponsor's divorce papers
June 21, 2002 - Divorce papers sent to embassy through FedEx from Canada
August 15, 2002 - Sponsor and fiancée got married in the Philippines: Mariage certificate sent in Manila Canadian embassy through DHL
Is this good news? Do they only want to stamp the visa and that's it? Please experts answer!

Passport is needed to affix the PR visa in it, so it is the end of wait.
Congratulations!
