Mailing PR cards timeline
What is the timeline to get the PR card mailed? A friend of mine landed in december and she's still wainting... She landed in another state, is that a problem?

Something is not right here. PR Cards for new migrants should be issued in 30 days, often less than that.

She needs to call the CIC call centre and find out what's going on. Did she provide a Canadian residential address on landing?
Landing in a different province should have nothing to do with it (by the way, Canada doesn't have "states").

)! But, as Jeremy said, your friend should call the CIC to find out whats happenning, as the average timeline is from 4-6 weeks..

I landed on Jan 26, 2006 and received my PR Card on Feb 16, 2006.
