Hi all
My application under SFW was recived on 18 October 2010 (post June 2010). In July 2011 London visa office sent asking me to update some forms, which I did, but since then did not here of them at all. I contacted them by e-mail last week; and to my surprise they replied today.
Unfortunately they said ( We did receive your documents. Background checks are currently in process for your application. We are unable to advise when they will be concluded but they are likely to take some time yet. We will contact you again as soon as we are able to).
All my records are absolutely clean, so wondering why this is taking long time. Anyone experiencing such a situation????????????

The time it takes depends on many things including how many countries you have lived in and just which ones they were. Manpower available is another factor.

Thank you Jim, Other than here I lived in one country in Africa, where I was working for while. Hope that will not make it even slower. In one of the threads I read that they might even ask about the schools that one attended, but do not think that is the case, is it? My hope that checks here are quick enough and plain...

It will be the African check that slows your case I think. Patience will be your friend now.
