Default London Responses

Can anyone tell me why the Canadian Consulate/Embassy in London UK cannot use anything other than automated responses when you have a query?

It is so frustrating when you live far away from the capital and can only contact the above via phone/fax.

I have also never heard of automated fax machines which is new and down right annoying to have to deal with.

Hi:

Due to the sheer number of applicants, the Case Processing Centre in London does not
have the resources to respond to all inquiries made. It was decided that the best way
to deal with the sheer number of inquiries is to provide automated responses, or to
respond to faxed inquiries.

Yours truly, Ingrid Y. Chen, B.A., LL.B.

A reality of reduced resources is that they cannot personally respond to = all
queries.=20

If there is something unusual about your case or if it has gone beyond = processing
times they have given then it would be a good idea to fax = them the message and they
will respond.

--=20 Good luck,

All opinions expressed are IMHO, not anyone else's
