Default LMO on a second job

Hi all

My husband has been offered a job working as a sports coach in Penticton, BC. His employer is currently in the process of filling out the LMO forms for this as we would have to go across on a TWP as it starts in Sept and then apply for PR in the meantime.

He has since been contacted by the president of the company saying that (as the company has strong links with the local school) he is trying to arrange emplyment teaching in this school (My husbands a teacher too)

So my question is...do we need to get 2 LMOs for this as even though the jobs are linked he would be getting paid by 2 different employers. I have tried trawling the web for info on this and can't find a thing.

Any help would be great, thanks

Becks xx

He would need a second LMO if he'd be being paid by somebody else etc. But you can only get a LMO for a full-time job and I'm assuming they can't both be full-time?!? Unless he's a vampire that doesn't need to sleep of course.

Hi thanks for the reply

yeah the coaching job is a full time job but it's strange hours so would allow him to teach aswell. So do you think he would need 2 LMO then?

So if the second job (teaching) didn't exist, and he got TWP based on the coaching job, would he not be allowed to take on a second job whilst there (to earn extra money say)

The LMO/TWP will be tied to one employer, so if somebody else wants to give him a job and pay him, he will need another LMO.

Question is, is the teaching job full-time? It would have to be to get the LMO, so he can't just do a bit here and there.

Sorry, we posted at the same time!

Yes, if the teaching job is part-time he wouldn't be able to get a LMO for it. It must be a full-time position.

HTH.
