Default LMO question

Hi,

I am wondering about this LMO application. as I understood this should be applied for by the employer and not by the employee.

now does this employer should apply for LMO for each single employee separately? or when the employer gets the LMO approved once, they can use it for other employee?

the background of the question is: I got a job with a big employer in Canada, and they use to have many new employee from outside canada. I was thinking the might have the LMO approval already for someone else.

thanks,

1. Each employee separately (skilled occupations) some of the semi-skilled employers get bulk LMOs for a specific number of employees, but each has to be listed.
2. Nope it has to be in your name.

How much does it cost in legal fee's and admin for companies to apply for LMO??

I figure that if its a large cost, then most employers may be put off and opt to hire a Canadian instead. If worst came to worst I would be willing to potentially foot the bill if the company would help with all the paper work.

You should be able to find the info on CIC website but my gut feeling is it's around $300

It's free for an employer to apply for a LMO, legal fees will vary but are unlikely to be required - most employers just do it themselves.

HTH, good luck.
