LMIA for restaurant management
Hi all,
I'm hoping this isn't a stupid question. I'm looking to move to BC (back to BC I should say, i lived in vancouver for two years) and I'm wondering what the likelehood is of obtaining a positive LMIA for restaurant management in BC? Anyone working in hospitality that can tell me what the labor market is like right now?
Thanks for any and all info

Putting aside the current market conditions at the moment, which in Vancouver seem to be ok for hospitality work.
The issue will be showing that there is not a current citizen or pr holder able or willing to do the role. In something like restaurant management I feel this is going to be a tough sell to CIC.
Good luck.

CIC don't get involved. It goes to ESDC, if they approve it CIC are fine with it. Never the less, for an occupation with an adequate labour supply, the hardest sell is going to be getting an employer to go through the hassle and expense of the LMIA application and then getting ESDC to accept it.

Interestingly, NOC 0631 is one of the BC Top Occupations:

If you click on the link and find the occupation, it will give you some data.

Just following on from this.
I am currently on a student visa and currently work in an independent baby boutique.
My boss has made me manager, despite being part-time, and said he will help get me and my family in to the country.
Can he help me? I have been told otherwise.

Hire a temporary worker through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program
