Default lawyer recommendation

hello can somebody recommend a good lawyer for immigrating to canada under
independent category. if the applicant is in the us, is it a good idea to get a
lawyer from the us? what sort of things one look for in a lawyer. is membership in a
immigration lawyers association desirable? in the usa, immigration lawyers usually
belong to american immigration lawyer's association, what is the canadian equivalent
of that? i also would like to have some idea about how much do the lawyers charge in
general. thanks sincerely pcp

All are reputable, long standing members of the Canadian immigration bar. I believe all are members of the Canadian Bar Association Immigration Section.

The costs to file an application for these lawyers range from US$850 for Leonard Simcoe to about US1500-US$2000 for the others.
