Default Landing from the United States

Hi All,
When one lands from the US how much cash must one carry since most
US debit/atm cards work in canada and one can asses the account. In
that case how can one prove that one has sufficent funds what do
they normally ask.Do we need a bank statement will that help.
Thanks
John

This seems to be very confusing as it seems from the united states
one can use his bank card but then what about the requirement to
show funds. Also if one carries funds as draft or cashiers check
does one still need to show that . Mr miller, Mr Cohen ,Mr Humphries
what are your takes on this topic . I think alot of us would be happy
to know the clarification
