Landing tomorrow...
#1

... so the day is nearly upon us. We're all checked in online and sitting in our Heathrow hotel before flying to Vancouver tomorrow to land and start our new lives in Canada. Can't believe that we're actually about to emigrate after talking about it for so long.
I'll post to let you know how we get on with the landing process, but just wanted to say thank you for all the help and advice we've received on these pages. It has been very much appreciated!

Thanks everyone! We made it. Sitting typing this as a permanent resident in our friends kitchen...
Landing was straightforward and friendly. There was a group of mexican agricultural workers in front of us, as well as a couple of chinese families, so we had a bit of a wait - maybe an hour and a half all in all - but were processed in less than 15 minutes. Then through to get our luggage and we were done. Hassle free and simple.
We were met by a cup of Timmy's and a box of Timbits, so it was good to be back! I've got my first meeting with potential clients on Monday and Mrs FF has three interviews lined up next week. All exciting stuff.
Thanks again for the good wishes - and best of luck to everyone else at whatever stage of the process they are in.
