Default Landing for a second time without PR cards

Hi folks

I'm sure this question has been asked many times before, I did put in a search but just found myself getting confused with all the info.

We initially landed in October this year and flew back to the UK, we applied for our PR cards to be sent to a relatives address in Canada who was then going to post them onto us back in the UK, we are now making plans to land for keeps in January, the problem is our PR cards haven't arrived with our relatives yet, it's now getting a bit tight for time to receive them. We still have the Canadian PR Visa sticker which doesn't expire till July 2010 in our passports along with the copy of the activated COPR stapled into the same Visa page. Are we likely to come across any problems without any additional paperwork ? We are booking return flights with AC but there will be more than 6 months gap between departure and return.

TIA

As (I am assuming) you are both UK citizens you will not require a PR card to get on the aircraft so you should have no problems at the POE since the PR card is mostly for the airlines information. So go ahead even if you have not received you cards.

Thanks for the reply Jim

I had read on other posts about people having to apply for a travel document from CIC, do we not need this ?

I do not think it would be needed in your case. You have not been away very long and you have ample proof of your status for presentation at the Canadian port of entry.

Thanks again Jim, hopefully this will be the case, the only other complication we have is we had to renew our son's passport when we got back as it was due to expire but we do still have his old passport with the Visa sticker and COPR copy. do you think this will cause any problems ?
