Default Landing ?? - Planning to land @ Vancouver

I got my Passport Request last week, and will be landing very soon. can some one help me with these questions.

1. I am planning to land @ vancouver -> come back after a week to US, settle things here and go back again. I don't plan on Importing my car. So can i take my OWN car at the time of landing?
2. Will a Bank statement showing my balance would be enough for Proof of Funds?. or should i go for Traveler's Cheque?
4. Any recent Landing experience @ vancouver

Your help is greatly appreciated

I dont think you will receive your PR card in a week time and if you leave Canada without a PR card, how would you come back.
