Default landing with no possessions - quick Q!

Hi,

I'm off to Niagara tomorrow to land. I have prepared my goods to follow list for stuff back in the UK.

However, when I first came to Canada (as a tourist) I brought some expensive photography equipment with me. I spoke to Border Control today who said I need to put them on the B4A form, but I don't need to take them with me tomorrow. Does this seem right? It seems a bit strange declaring goods imported with me that aren't with me!

Thanks.

Unless they are suspicious of a shipment, customs don't inspect every item that comes in. They look at the paperwork and will tell you if they want to see it. If it is already in the country, paperwork is likley all they will need.
