Evening all.....

I'm sorry to ask this question as I'm sure it will have been covered- I just can't find the answer to it:curse:.

My family and I have had our request for passports which will be in the post to the Embassy as soon as we get the photos done. We intend to go for a holiday (scouting trip) in April but are not ready to move permanently yet. Our Visa will expire in July 2008. We plan to move there permanently in September time 2008. I've read on the website that you need an address in Canada so they can post your PR cards to you once you have landed.

My Question is then "If I am going for a scouting trip and have no permanent address, where do they send the PR cards to?"

Is it possible to use a friends address for them to be sent to or something. I don't want to fall flat after waiting so long....

Please advise!

Yes, you can have them sent to a friends address and pick them up from there at a later date. It's not a problem.

I'll say what iaink always says on this point. You don't have to supply an address - you can do it later (within 6 months?) - but if you do have a friend or acquaintance in Canada already, then just use their address. It's much easier than trying to find out months later who you need to contact !
