Default Landing funds or not for spousal applicant?

Just received my VISA from Canada House, London and we're flying in June!

Do I read it right though that as a spousal applicant I am exempt from having to prove I have sufficient funds to make my initial settlement in Canada or would it still be wise to fly into Toronto with a handful of Travellers Cheques? And if so how much?

It's not a problem, but one hoop less to go through if I'm reading the blurb I've been sent correctly...

(and for those interested, I sent off my application to Mississauga in early October...visa was received mid-March and no hitches! Yay!)

Settlement funds are not required for spousal applicants.
