Default Landing Experience and PR Card Q ??

I have landed in Canada by driving a rental car from US. It's a very easy process, I went through immigration first where they checked the PR visa/CPR and they filed it for PR Card. They said that they may send me the card directly or they may ask me to pick it up. I am planning to stay in Canada until I get it. And then I went through the customs where they reviewed the goods that I was bringing with me.

While I was in the immigration office at the port of entry I was expecting them to take a picture of me for the PR Card, but they didn't. Would that delay my PR Card receive date, if anyone share his/her experience or knowledge I appreciate it ??? Did they take your picture?

Thank you.

Don;t worry, they already have you photo that they'll use for the PR card which you probably sent in with the passport request (can;t remember - asked for sooo many photos!) but they also did n;t take our photo and thank goodness too after 12 hours at the airport and flying we looked a fright! PR Card too about a month to turn up but that was posted to SK so should be quicker.

So, if I drive into Canada then I do not have to keep a filled out
copy of the PR Application Form?

Also, did the US Immigration people take away your I-94 Card before
you entered Canada?

Thanks!

This is a problem if you are going to stay more than a week; you need to import your car. They don't let you drive your US plate car for more than a week. I had to sell my car because of the same reason. If you have a place to leave your car in the US, that would be the best bet.
