Landed in Halifax....
Hi All,
Just to say that we landed in Halifax last Thursday after a long and very cramped flight with Canadian Affair . Our plane apparently had a technical problem and was swapped with a smaller one that could not make it without refueling We had to divert to Iceland to refuel which added another 4-hours to our journey
We finally arrived in Halifax around 00:30 and was pleased to see it was not busy The lady at Immigration was friendly and polite. She processed the relevant paperwork, asked a couple of questions (but didn't ask us for our proof of funds) and welcomed us to Canada Customs were equally as friendly and shook our hands with a welcome too. Complete landing process took around 30 mins for four of us
Arrived home today and checked ecas out of curiosity and to my surprise it has already changed to 'Complete' with our landing confirmation behind it
I would also like to say a 'Huge' thank you to all you guys who have helped me during the process with all it's ups and downs. Your a fantastic bunch.
To those of you who have completed the process.. have a wonderful new life in Canada
And to you guys who are still waiting... hang in there and the very best of luck

Thank you all for your warm well wishes
Have returned to the UK to wait for the house to sell, then we'll be on our way. Looking to settle in the Annapolis Valley when the time comes.
Good to know you're there

Re: Landed in Halifax....
Hiya,
They took ours last year, as well. In fact when we landed there was nobody around to look at ours, we actually came through the main doors into arrivals and Bob had to go back and look for someone. She stamped the original and took a photocopy.
It may be just who you get on the day.
