I want to do my landing early next year. I have a few questions here. I'd appreciate it very much if anyone can answer me.
1. I have two cars that I haven't pay off yet (8 more month to go). When landing, Can I put them to that "Goods to follow" list. Do I need to write down the PIN number for both cars or do I need to provide other documents like invoices. ( I don't have the title for both car yet)
2. The money required when landing.
I don't want to bring cash with me since I will drive from Teaxs to Canada, Can I just show them a bank statement from a US bank or I have to bring cash.
3. I bought a hand gun few years ago, Can I bring them to Canada when I move over there ? what kind of documents I may need ?
Thank you very much.

I will describe the experience of a friend who accomplished this.
First thing to do is to contact the bank/lender and get the loan converted
to a CAD loan instead of a USD.
Then you will get the title from the lender.
After that you will need to import it like any other car.
You may face some issues at the border.
The most important thing to do is to work with the lender to get the loan
converted to a CAD.
IMO, it is best if you can pay off the cars before you move and have a clean
title.

I think that should work.
But it would help if you have a CAD account with a Canadian bank to prove
that you actually intend to transfer the funds.

Leave them behind if Texas
)
Best wishes.

There are quite a few issues with the car. Are the cars North American made, or imports? Also, how old are the cars? When I moved back to Canada from the US, I had a 2000 Hyundai. Since it was not North American made, I was going to have to pay a huge amount of import duty on it, plus get daytime running lights installed in order to get it licensed. I ended up selling the car and avoiding the whole mess at the border. The immigration/customs official at the border when I entered said "Be glad you aren't importing a car!".

SentApril2002,
My car one is Honda Accord, one is Toyota Camry. I really don't know where they are made, I think 90% of chance they were made in USA. Can you tell me how I can find out where they are made ?
Thanks a lot.
