Default Job offer and LMO timescale

Hi All,

If we have a job offer and an approved LMO what is the average timescale of getting a TWP?

If you apply to London then its about 6 weeks plus. If you get one at point of entry then it depends how long the queue is.

Is there a difference in how long the permit would be for between the two?

Nope. Don't forget not everybody can apply at POE so make sure you are eligible before you head on over, have a read of the Wiki, there is an article in there about how and where to apply for a TWP.

I'll move this to the immigration forum, which is for any visa related queries.

'Tis no problem. Just that you'll get more responses if you put your thread in the right part of the forum - if in doubt, have a read of the 'Newcomers to the Forum' thread which has a link in it to a Wiki article about which part of the forum is for what.

My hubby says to quit reading the forums cos the more I read the more confused I get, so many different opinions and experiences!! lol

The job offer and the approval for "red seal" wont be a problem but the LMO is a whole different ball game.

Yep, the LMO is the tricky bit at the moment. Fingers crossed for you.

^^ have to agree with Christmas too. The LMO is the biggest problem. There is just no guarantee with everything else in your favour that the LMO will be approved. We are living proof of this. Certainly didnt foresee a refusal on our's but you just never know. Good luck with your's. I hope it goes according to plan I really do.
