Default job/address update

I applied immigration to Canada in Dec, 2001, thrugh an lawyer. My timeline is:
File number: Jan, 2002
Initial assessment: Dec, 2002 (interview waived)
Medical: May, 2003
After graduate in March, 2003 I found a job in Singapore and moved to here from the U.S.
Last week, I received a letter requesting new FBI clearance of me and my husband (never been to the U.S.).
Since the time I moved to Singapore I have updated the lawyer of my new job and address. But they have not updated Buffalo. They suggest I do a Singapore clearance as well and they will send it together with the FBI one to Buffalo, and update them at the same time.
My question is: if Buffalo knows of the my new job and address, will they delay the process of my application? Can they still transfer my file to Singapore at this stage?
