Let me know if you are in Ontario and I will tell you what to do.

You should refer to the post specific instructions on such matters.

Normally, we do a declaration of invitation and support.

Many posts do not require formal documents but only simple letters.

Yeah ... what's unique about Ontario in offering an invitation letter?

The invitation letter is in fact a special form issued by Ontario Provincial
Court. You fill it out (but you gotta know what to write down in it), you go
back to Court, you see a Justice of Peace, he asks you some questions and
then he/she approves it (he/she must use his/her own stamp). Then you send
the invitation to the Canadian Embassy overseas along with other documents
showing your salary, workplace and the amount of money you have in your
account (the last one is another special letter issued and signed by the
Manager of the Branch where you have opened your bank account).
I said Ontario because I have done all the above five times in the last 10
years (including last summer) for my parents, and I have never lived outside
Ontario. Therefore I cannot give advice if the sponsor does not live in
Ontario.
Clear now Mr. Albert Einstein?
