I've just received notification that I will have to attend an interview for my visa
application in London.

Does anyone know how long it is currently taking before you get your interview date
for London?

Thanks

For us, we received interview date 3 months after notification that one was required, and
the actual interview about a month after that.

We received interview date 9 months after receiving a letter that interview was required!
While we attended the interview a month and half after that.

This was in the Feb 98 booklet from London.

It says, "At the interview your personal suitability for immigration to Canada as well as
your occupational expertise and professional qualifications will be assessed. The visa
officer may ask you questions about your job, past experience, reasons for migrating,
plans for the future in Canada, and the preparations you have made. There will also be
questions to determine your ability to settle sucussefully in Canada. These may include
questions about your health financial sitaution, any past difficulties with the law, and
your family spouse, and/or dependents. These questions are intended to evaluate your
motivation, initiative, adaptability, resourcefulness, and overall ability to establish
(sic) in Canada. The visa officer will give you the appropriate medical instructions".
