interview help/question?
Hi,
Just been informed that we are being called for an interview shortly, does anyone know how long the process takes from having the interview to the visa issuance stage? Thanks :( |
Re: interview help/question?
After successful interview a selection decision is made and security check is initiated. Depending from visa post you may already have medical forms, get them shortly after interview or wait for them until security check is close to conclusion. Anyway - another few months to well over a year.

Thanks Andrew, a few queries I hope you may be able to help with. Do you know how long it generally takes for CHC London to schedule interview in are we talking another 6 months? Do they request medicals after the interview or could we receive instructions anytime now? We are such a straightfoward case - are allskilled workers getting called for interviews? Thanks again.. |
Re: interview help/question?
It may take anywhere from several months to over a year for interview to be scheduled. Nobody can say for sure as we have no idea yet how all pre-2002 cases that have been put back in process after being frozen for 2 years will affect each visa post's timelines.
CHC LOndon issues medical forms close to the end of process, well after the interview. There is no such thing as "straightforward case" and fact that interview is required in your case indicates that you didn't make a conclusive application. Interwiew is required when officer is unable to make decision based on info and evidence submitted with application, when evidence is inconclusive, anything is left to interpretation, any case and/or circumstances specific doubt or question has not been fully addressed in the package, etc. - no offence intended, but it is clear that you missed a lot in the preparation if interview is required.
