Default interview

I recived an appointment for interview. In letter is specified that will be in
french. If I don't speak french I have to ask an autorised person to come with me.
What I knew before, I can sustain this enterview in english. It is a new rule comming
with new imigrations law? Thx

No, it is not a new rule - you must have applied for Quebec Selection Certificate and
the interviews for such are usually held in French language.

If you submitted a Federal application and have not specified any French language
skills, then you should not be obliged to have the interview conducted in French. In
such a case, you should send a written notice to the visa office that you prefer that
the selection interview be conducted in English.
