Inland Application - Police Clearance
A quick question:
If one applies inland for permanent residence, does one need to submit updated police clearance certificates/medical exams every so often? I am an American and I applied inland about 9 months ago. I submitted two police clearances, one FBI, and the other for New York State, but they have expired, as it has been over six months that Immigration has those clearances. Even though I have been living here in Canada all this time, and I have not committed any crimes, remotely, in the USA, do I have to send new police clearances to Immigration? Also, will I have to undergo another immigration medical exam at some point in time? While I do appreciate the option of applying for permanent residence inland, the costs associated with the application process (application fee, ROLF, medical exams, police clearances, visa extensions, etc.) sure can be a stressor, especially when one is unemployed. Thank you for your assistance. |
