info needed Quebec / Ontario
Hi there.
I have passed interview for Quebec recently and want am now waiting to
receive my medical forms.
I plan to come to Canada at the begining of the next year but I would very
much preffere to live in an english-language speaking city.
Under any law valid in Canada (new or old) could there be any problem with
my PR status if I would reside let's say in Toronto and not Montreal? Of
course I have received the selection certificate from Quebec.
After the 3 years period of my residing in Toronto, when there will be time
for me to get my Canadian passport and citizenship could there appear any
issues at that point ? Can I be refused citizenship? Can I be taken away PR
status ?
Experts please help
Thanks,
Alex

Re: info needed Quebec / Ontario
When you applied for PR visa under Quebec rules you made a declaration of
intention to live in Quebec. On that basis Quebec's selection decision (CSQ) is
being accepted in lieu of federal selection process. If your intention is not
to reside in Quebec then your application may be deemed fraudulent and PR
status obtained by fraud may be revoked. Government is really getting tough on
those who use Provincial programs to circumvent federal selection process, so
be aware of consequences.
