Default Implied Status - when are you eligible ?

The title says it all really.

Under what circumstances are you deemed to have Implied Status ? Maybe Jim Humphries could answer this one ? And how do you apply for it ?

Default Re: Implied Status - when are you eligible ? PMM?

I believe you are entitled to "deemed" status if you had a LMO-based TWP and have applied for extension with a new LMO on a timely basis and were simply awaiting the decision on that TWP renewal application from CIC. I would gladly defer to PMM if it is not quite that straightforward.

In a right old pickle here - OH employer has resumes for people to start with them and therefore they cannot fulfill LMO requirements TWP expires feb 4th and have taken meds and just waiting for PPR

Perhaps you could leave the country then re-enter as a visitor (as you mentioned on the other thread)?

That way you'd get 6 months to wait for your PR card, although you wouldn't be able to work.

You could apply for a change of status to temporary resident based on your PR application being in the final stages. Meanwhile I will hope that your case is finalized before there is any such issue.
