Default Implied Status

Hello everyone, hoping someone has some experiences on the subject.

I'm currently in Canada as a visitor (expires November) and on the waiting list for this years IEC. Assuming my number doesn't get reached by November, i can apply for a visitor extension in October. This takes about 100 days to process last time i checked so until a decision is reached i am allowed to stay on implied status. Those 100ish days would take us to next March approximately. Should i wish to travel back to the UK for a couple of weeks over christmas, or even down to the States for a few days, whilst on implied status, would i be allowed to re-enter Canada? Or would i have to wait until if and when an extension is granted, 6 months elapses or i receive my work permit (whichever happens first) ?

Any information would be appreciated!

If you leave Canada while awaiting for a decision on Implied Status then you lose that status. If on a waiting list for IEC there is no guarantee you will get a spot.
If you do leave while awaiting an extension or a decision then if you leave you could be refused entry on returning.
Your choice in the end.
