I was recently on a tourist visa for 6 months in Canada and I left on the 27th of Feb 2011 when it ran out. I applied for a work permit through BUNAC and am now at the end of both phases. The High Commision of Canada has contacted me and would like documentation that I left the country by the 27th Feb 2011, I dont have any type of documentation to prove it. I replied back thinking I still had train tickets, flight tickets etc to prove that I would be travelling but as I checked I have deleted it all. They replied asking for train tickets, and bank statements, but my bank statement only shows transactions from the 14th of March 2011 as I didnt use my account until that date. I am worried that this could ruin my chances of getting my work permit as I cant prove any sort of way that I left Canada.
I have re-entered Canada 9th May 2011 on another tourist visa hoping that when my work permit comes through, I can go over the border to Detroit and have it activated when I re-enter. Is there any chance they know im already here?? Should I just tell them?? Because I re-entered I obviously left the country when I was supposed to otherwise they wouldn't have let me back in, right??
Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

oh, they'll know you came back in, i'm sure.
which airline did you use to leave?
so for two whole weeks back in the uk you didn't buy any groceries on debit, gas or anything?
are you sure you left by 27th feb?
you must know which day you flew out (it isn't that long ago!) - the airline will have a copy of your booking. you'll have to get in touch with the airline and get them to e-mail you your original itinerary.

Did you reply to the CIC request for evidence, and if so what did you provide?

I sent them a bank statement with proof that I payed for train tickets which had the companys name on which i had previously told them about. Also i found a reciept that i had when i had bought something at the airport about 40 minutes before my flight back to the uk which had the airline name on it. And my plane ticket coming back to canada on the 9th May 2011. I provided copys of stamps in my passport to and wrote a letter explaining all the information.
