Default Immigration Interview in Seattle on 25th......USA visa refused

hi!,

I had applied for PR (skilled) in Dec 2004 and recently i was asked to appear for an immigration interview with the original school certificates, original employment contracts etc on 25th May 2006.

On last friday my USA visa was refused b/c the officer interviewing me refused my visa and said that since my brother is US citizen and my school will be over in June therefore i will not comeback to Canada.

I would like to know what are my options....i mean is there any possibility that my interview could be waived or someone else can submit my documents in Seattle.

No, you have to appear in person. If you do not appear for the interview, then they will make their decision with the information they have on file, which usually means a refusal.

Visa cannot be transfered anywhere - but you may ask for transfer of your file to New Delhi and such request may or may not be granted. If granted then your file will land in New Delhi among files submitted about same time you submitted yours - it means that your case will wait for re-assessment as long as other cases submitted at the same time in New Delhi (few years at least). If transfer request is not granted then likely result is refusal.

This is why Jim, PMM and myself are warning readers in this forum for many years not to submit application to visa post in country where you need a visa to get for interview.
