Default Immigration help for telecoms.

Hi Everyone.

I'm really hoping to get some help from people who have done the same thing I am trying.

I have wanted to live in Nova Scotia for about 10 years. I first wanted to get a good job in the UK, save some money and be in a position where i can go for it and not have things holding me back.

I got a job with BT straight from school as an apprentice.

I completed a 3 year apprenticeship and completed in April/2010 and I was awarded a level 3 NVQ from Ofqual in Communication Technology Professionals.

I also have my secondary education grades and I have a European certificate for completing a modern apprenticeship with BT in communication technologies.

The main problem I have is E-skills have now closed down, and as far as I can see, the companies who can convert my qualifications from UK to Canada require confirmation from the examining body.

I have completed my IELTS test and got all 8's.

I'm sure you have guessed from the above that I am going to be looking for a job in Telecoms. I have done everything from being an apprentice to managing a team with a £1m budget.

My questions are....
  • Is it possible to get a job offer in this industry in Nova Scotia/ Canada (I would be willing to move somewhere else if I have better prospects)?
  • Are the qualifications i have desirable and in demand anymore?
  • If I cannot find a way for Eskills to communicate with the people who convert qualifications will I have to basically ignore the 3 year apprenticeship and qualifications?
  • What visa would be most appropriate for me to persue?
I feel I am now ready to do what ever it takes to get to canada I'm just hoping that I can.

I honestly have no idea of what next steps would be. Some people have advised I should speak to immigration specialists and others have advised doing it myself.

I really dont want to mess it up so any information anyone can give me would be beyond appreciated.

If there is anyone on here who has been through all of this and could contact me directly I would be forever grateful as well.

Thank you.

Rob

Australia would be better suited, it's famous for the LAN down under.
