... what are my options?
We're here on a TWP at the moment, although are SW PR was submitted in 07. I'm expecting we'll receive med requests at some point this year.

However, there have been a number of redundancies throughout the company so far this year, and there may be others.

I'm not particularly frightened that i'd be let go, but if I was, would I realistically have to leave the country and go through the whole LMO process again? My WP is only valid for my current employer...

Your WP is still valid to its expiration date regardless, so that gives you some breathing space to find a new job / LMO, or hopefully for PR to come through and make finding the job that little bit easier.

Hopefully it wont come to that...my take was if they need a work permit to hire me, then I must have specialised skills they dont want to easily give up...

Hi

Are you looking to fast track your PR application?

That was the idea, but my employers lawyers reckon it'll be quicker to apply via the PNP route. If we'd done that when I arrived, it probably would have been done by now, but I've kinda sat on it. To be honest, filling out all the forms again put me off.
However, people that applied at a similar time to us have received med requests, so I'm assuming we wont be far behind. It would be much easier if I could just fast track my existing PR application.... just waiting to see if my employers will pay the balance of our own consultants fees....
