Document Resubmission - pls help!
*moved this out of spousal PR timeline to gain some visability
PLEASE HELP!
I got a letter from CIC today that stated I am missing/ have incomplete documents. They are going to give me 30 days to send them the missing documents. They've identified passports and national identity cards but I submitted all of that already. They have not identified what specifically is missing or what is not valid.
How can I reach CIC and talk to them specifically about what I need to resubmit?
Do I just photocopy all copies of passports and identity cards and resend?
Do these need to be certified????
Also - the letter states that when I submit the documents if it meets the requirements that it will be submitted in the cue based on resubmission. That means my 12 months will begin from February???
Edited to add:
In my original application I submitted the following Identity documents:
Sponsor:
Canadian passport and Canadian birth certificate
Applicant
British passport
Spanish national identity card
Child (who is a Canadian Citizen by right)
British birth certificate and proof of application for Canadian citizenship
I am going to basically resubmit every identity document we all which includes:
Sponsor
Canadian Passport
· Canadian Birth Certificate
· UK Spousal Visa Card
Applicant
· British Passport
· Spanish Passport
· Birth Certificate
· Spanish National Identity Card
Child
· British Passport
· Birth Certificate
· Canadian Citizenship Certificate (Please note that X was received after submission of the PR application)
PLEASE HELP!

Obviously I haven't seen what you sent it but did the Spanish ID card or birth certificate need a translation?

It's just an ID card. I should've submitted his Spanish passport as it has spanish/english/french on it

Get a translation for the ID Card and birth certificate if it needs it. Submit all passports and ID docs. It's not either or.

Birth Certificate is my own Canadian one so I don't think that's the problem - and my husbands BC is British so no need for translation - it must be the stupid identity card.

Sounds like you didn't submit the Spanish passport either. Get the ID Doc translated.

I didn't because I thought I could pick one or the other? The Spanish National Identity card can be used to travel around Europe so I assumed it wasn't necessary or redundant to submit both.
Spanish passport has English and French on it - so I won't get that translated - but I guess I will need to do the identity card because I've already submitted it?

also i don't know if this makes any difference but the letter was addressed to me (sponsor) as opposed to my husband applicant.

There are some deficiencies in what was submitted for your husband. Whether there were any problems with your docs we can't say. The lack of Canadian CC for the child might be a factor but you'll send this now. I don't know what was in IRCC's mind when they checked the package.

Don't know if this was mentioned earlier, but did you also scan every page of the passports that had stamps?

Re: Document Resubmission - pls help!
We scanned and submitted every page that had a stamp. We did this for both applicants.
If you provided travel history that should appear as stamps in your passport, then I think they expect to see them in the uploaded scans.
One of the passports was Polish, and we did not provide a translation.
We were not asked for anything additional or told any documents were incomplete.
