I resend: My immigration interview experience and Please Help from Experts
Hi Everybody,
I had my immigration interview last week and here is a summary of it: I arrived at 8 (it was appointed at 8.30hs)and presented a folder with all the information requested, in the order requested and clearly identifiable. After about 1/2 hour I was called with my wife to enter for the interview with the official. The interview was very simple, he explained the reason of the interview was to validate some information that wasn't very clear in my file, like my letters of employment, which were not very detailed. The main problem with them was that they stated my position, and time that I worked but not a description of the job. He asked me specifically about my duties in one big consultant firm and then asked me about my certification since in my application I put CMA as intended profession ( I didn't know about validation of titles). I told him that I wanted to work for a company, as controller or a finance related area, and that to that matter I wouldn't need the certification. In addition, I am doing a MBA within Canada so that wouldn't be an issue. He took the NOC, asked me to detail my job duties and done. He was very nice, attend my concerns and made me feel really confortable. No question was directed to my wife, my studies or any other issue. No, here is my question (problem) to the experts. I am doing my MBA in Quebec, therefore he told that, even thought I passed the interview he couldn't issue my visa until I send him some proof that I moved outside Quebec (not to Toronto, my intended destination). The other option he gave was to apply for a CSQ and then send me the visa. His concern was that he heard about cases where the residence was retired to some people that in the port of entry intended to settle in Quebec when they didn't have a CSQ. The most attractive alternative for me is to apply for CSQ, which I already have but my wife not (I got if before my marriage and it's a long story the change of destination, etc). What should I do to obtain the CSQ for my wife? should I apply again? I read on the Quebec website that there is an special procedure for students in Quebec that are graduating in less than a year (my case), where they don't need to go outside the province for the interview. Is that my case or there is a way to add my wife to my CSQ and that's all. It is important to notice that my CSQ wasn't issued in Canada but in another country, prior to my original come to Canada. Thank you for your answers!! Coco |
