We notarized everything just to be safe (we were lucky enough to get it done at just the cost of a bottle of brandy though)!

I followed my request letter to a T and nowhere did it ask for docs to be notarised. I didn't notarise a thing and here I sit, in Canada.

I just got the doctor in the next office to sign everything then gave her a bottle of wine, oh and I tried not to argue with her.

I got my education docs, birth and marriage certs all photocopied at a lawyers and he certified everything as true copies. About 80GBP I think. Worth it for the peace of mind!

I only got my employment contracts notorised. Everything else was photocopied.

We didn't notarise anything and sent photocopies most certicates. No problems at all
