Default I need some advice, My lawyer didn't do her job.

Hello, I need some advice, I came to Canada ( Montreal) in April 2002., I
applied for refugee status, I presented all my documents to immigration, In
January 2003 I had my hearing with the Immigration Court, In March I
received the Negative response from Immigration.

My lawyer told me that the next step was to wait until immigration send us a
new paper to apply for Humanitarian reasons,
I kept waiting and waiting, I called her again to see If we needed to do
something else and she said "NO you have to wait for some papers" so we
waited.

Then for some reason I found a lawyer from my home country and I told him my
case, he said "You don't have to wait for any papers, you needed to apply
for an appeal with immigration Canada within 15 days of receiving the
negative response from immigration"
This is something my current lawyer never told us, now I have to pay more
lawyer fees so he can go to immigration and make the appeal, besides my new
lawyer told me that this is not the first time he hear complains about this
lady.

My question is is there a way I can report my old lawyer? she didn't do her
job and because her mistake I was without status in Canada and with
deportation risk,I called her back and she supposedly is on "vacation"
I want to know what can I do to compensate damages and emotional stresss,
thanks a lot for your attention.
